If you want something similar that’s prettier and good to drive, the Jaguar XE comes to mind, but Jaguar doesn’t do a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) version of XE.

The 3 series is one of the better-looking BMWs. The BMW 330e xDrive M Sport boasts a class-leading infotainment console But the infotainment remains class leading and the fit and finish is impeccable, although BMW persists with its cheap, plastic-effect leather upholstery. With a round commute of 30 miles or so, you could use it as a zero emissions vehicle. Do that, and the car makes perfect sense for regular short commutes.
